Why must dancers stand in front of a mirror all day every day wearing only a skin-tight leotard and tights, comparing themselves to other dancers? I've seen only too many problems from self-esteem. This blog is to help find a good balance and happy lifestyle. Dance is about enjoying yourself, it's not a completely physical art form. Enjoy dancing, enjoy living.

Baking Substitutions
I totally recommend this: bake, bake, and bake! It's so good for your soul and your body is happy, of course! The one thing you must never do after having a treat is regretting. Your body actually takes it literally and makes you gain weight. The only time when you should have a treat is when you're happy. Happiness is a metabolism-booster and sadness or frustration can make your metabolism slow down. So how do you have a brownie and not regret it? Bake with real, whole foods! Don't just buy a brownie mix and some high-fructose corn syrup frosting!Make it all from scratch and you can even replace some of the ingredients that make your blood sugar spike!
